The James R. Jordan Boys & Girls Club is one of ten Boys & Girls Clubs in Greater Chicago selected to compete in the third edition of the Kids Foot Locker Foundation Fitness Challenge. Kids Foot Locker encourages all active Club members to engage in physical activities for 60 minutes on a daily basis.
The six-week program (30-day measurement) will finish with the Club with the highest percent increase in daily participation will be awarded the grand prize ($10,000 check from KFL Foundation.)
Kids Foot Locker kicked off the program at an event hosted at the James R. Jordan Boys & Girls. Club members from other participating Clubs were invited to attend the kickoff event.
Chicago Bears running back, Matt Forte, surprised the Club members by attending the event and discussing with them the importance of healthy eating and staying on track at school.
